Qld: Man hospitalised after stabbing

BRISBANE, April 24 AAP - A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in a
fight west of Brisbane overnight.

Police said the 48-year-old victim and another man had been arguing with the alleged
offender in the front yard of a house in the Ipswich suburb of Riverview around 10pm (AEST).

The alleged offender refused to leave, and the third man hit him with a golf club, police said.

A fight broke out, and the victim was stabbed in the chest and abdomen, they said.

The alleged assailant ran off.

The victim was taken to the Ipswich Hospital and is in a stable condition. Investigations
are continuing.
