QLD:New airline to fly Brisbane to Bali route

BRISBANE, Dec 10 AAP - New international airline Strategic Airlines has announced a
new Brisbane to Denpasar, Bali, route, starting in March 2011.

Strategic will fly the route every Wednesday and Saturday with a dual-aisle Airbus
A330 aircraft featuring 30 business class seats and 243 economy seats.

Spokesman Damien Vasta said most airlines were offering a no-frills service on what
was a reasonably long flight.

"We believe our passengers will really enjoy flying on a wide-bodied Airbus A330 with
the comfort and customer service of a full service carrier, at very affordable fares,"

he said.

The first flight departs on March 19 but went on sale on Friday from $359 one-way,
or $671 return, including taxes.

Strategic Airlines, part of the Strategic Aviation Group, is Australia's newest international
carrier.

It employs more than 200 people, and expects to more than double its worldwide staff
over the next 12 months.
