Vic: Hospital admits patient transfer data was stuffed up

One of the Victorian hospitals named in a widening scandal involving manipulated waiting
list figures denies its data has been fudged.

Latrobe Regional Hospital in Gippsland has been named by Health Minister DANIEL ANDREWS
.. and was also identified in a damning report by the state's auditor-general that's exposed
fundamental flaws in hospital data-keeping.

It follows revelations that Melbourne's Royal Women's Hospital fudged figures to make
waiting lists appear shorter.

Latrobe's chief executive PETER CRAIGHEAD says his hospital's waiting lists aren't
being called into question.

But he admits to errors involving data documenting the time between patients being
treated in the emergency department and being transferred to a ward.
