Thermo Remediation Changes Name To ThermoRetec

CONCORD, Mass., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Thermo Remediation Inc.(ASE: THN) announced that its shareholders have approved the company's proposal to change its name to ThermoRetec Corporation. The outcome of the vote was announced Tuesday at the company's annual meeting of shareholders. The name change is effective immediately.

"We are a much different company than we were two years ago, and ThermoRetec better reflects the much broader range of services we offer to support and improve our clients' environmental health and safety efforts," said Robert W. Dunlap, president and chief executive officer of ThermoRetec. "The name change will be beneficial as we complete the ongoing integration of our various businesses and continue to focus on meeting the future requirements of customers from both industry and government."

The company's ticker symbol on the American Stock Exchange will remain THN. Trading in the company's common stock will not be interrupted. However, the common stock will begin to trade under the new name and with its new CUSIP number (883656 10 0) on Friday, September 18. Shareholders will not be requested to exchange their stock certificates.
